Rachel Darlene Ash, age 80, of Garfield, Arkansas
Rachel Darlene Ash, age 80, of Garfield, Arkansas passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas in Rogers, Arkansas.
She was born July 14, 1941 in Washburn, Missouri, the daughter of Homer and Ethel (Clark) Burns. On July 17, 1964 in Seligman, Missouri she was united in marriage to Raymond Ash, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Mylon Ash of Bella Vista, Arkansas; one brother, Bob Burns and his wife Ardith of Washburn, Missouri; one sister, Mayo Rose of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Leta Burns of Washburn, Missouri and four grandchildren, Timothy Landis, Jonathan Landis, Neena Ash and Veda Ash.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Lea Anna Ash; four brothers, James Burns, Henry Burns, Mickey Burns and H.E. Burns and three sisters, Lillian Cargile, Evelyn Sullivan and Joycey Burns.
Rachel grew up and received her education in Washburn, Missouri, graduating from Southwest High School. After her marriage, she and Raymond moved to Gateway, Arkansas where they have lived all their lives. She loved being a housewife. Some of her favorite pastimes were watching cooking shows and videos of the Gaither Vocal Band and she was an avid reader. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Rogers, Arkansas.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Reverend Darlene Robison will conduct the services. Burial will be at Roller Ridge Cemetery in Gateway, Arkansas.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
