Rebecca Ann “Becky” Bates, age 74, of Shell Knob, Missouri.

Rebecca Ann “Becky” Bates, age 74, of Shell Knob, Missouri passed away Monday, November 4, 2024 at her home.

She was born March 28, 1950 in Vincennes, Indiana the daughter of Russell William and Edith Mae (Powers) Wilson. On January 30, 1966 in Indiana, she was united in marriage to Edward Bates, who preceded her in death on June 8, 2024. Also preceding her in death were her parents; son, Johnny and sister, Sara.

Surviving are four sons, Dwight Bates, Sr. of Lampe, Missouri, Bradley Bates of Shell Knob, Missouri, Matt Bates of Shell Knob, Missouri and Norman Bates of Vigo County, Indiana; two sisters, Carol Pinkstaff of Vincennes, Indiana and Jenny Biggs of Florida; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Becky grew up and attended school in Indiana. She was employed by Morgan Packing Company in Indiana as a meat cutter for several years. Becky loved working in the yard, tending her roses and taking care of her boys. She was of the Baptist faith. Becky will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
