Rebecca Dalton

Rebecca Dalton...

Adored mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend, Rebecca Dalton passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024 in Springfield, Missouri.

Rebecca was born on November 27, 1955 to Orval & Thelma (Schippers) Moore.  She attended elementary school in Kirbyville and was a graduate of Branson High School.

In her young life, she worked with her grandparents at their restaurant, George & Argie’s BBQ Place in Kirbyville, where she learned about responsibility and treating others well. In high school, Rebecca was a talented artist, performed as Sammy Lane in the Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Theater and was the only female in her drafting class, where she discovered a talent for design that would shape her career.   After high school, Rebecca began her career with ConTel, a phone company in Branson, and used her drafting skills to assist her uncle, Quentin Moore, with survey and architectural projects. Her drafting skills and adventurous spirit eventually took her to Texas, where she worked at a nuclear power plant before returning to Branson and resuming her career with GTE/CenturyLink, from which she later retired.

It was also after returning to Branson that Rebecca met and married Joe Dalton and began her most cherished and rewarding calling in life, being a mother to her two daughters and later a treasured grandmother. She was a champion for her family and always supportive. Rebecca was dedicated to everything she undertook, including her professional work, art projects, and parenting. Known for her humor and playful spirit, she brought fun into every setting, often lightening the mood with her quick wit and love for practical jokes. Rebecca gave generously to those around her, and her warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her presence simply made life better.  She was a rare beauty, not just outwardly, but because of the values she held inwardly and lived out.  A devout Christian, Rebecca’s faith was the foundation of her life, and she found great comfort in her devotion to God’s Word.

Rebecca Dalton was taken from this world too soon, but her memory and spirit live on in the countless lives she touched. She will be missed beyond words and remembered with love forever.  She leaves behind her daughters, Samantha Dalton of Amsterdam and Kirbie Dalton of Branson; the grandchildren she loved so much, Brody, Stark and Star; her brother, Ron Moore & wife Jaime of Las Vegas and the Moore family including her many cousins who she shared so many memories with.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Orval & Thelma Moore; her brother, Russell Moore; her grandparents, George & Argie Moore and John & Teresa Schippers; and Joe Dalton.

Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Friday evening, November 15, 2024 from 5:00 – 6:00 pm, with a memorial service at 6:00 pm to follow in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
