Richard “Rick” John Carr, age 63, of Clever, Missouri.
Richard “Rick” John Carr, age 63, of Clever, Missouri, unexpectedly passed away on June 24, 2022. He entered this life on June 20, 1959, in Seattle, Washington.
Rick was a special education paraeducator for the Monroe School District in Washington State for many years. He became a legislative council member for the Monroe School SEIN Local 1948 for many years and was given a lifetime member award for the Monroe Chapter Zone 11.
After the passing of his mom, Rick decided to venture out of Washington State and landed in Branson, Missouri, area. He went to work for the Kirbyville School District until he retired from the school system in 2018. Rick worked at Harter House in Hollister, Missouri, for more than five years until his full retirement in August of 2022.
Rick never met a stranger, he always made friends wherever he went. He loved swimming and was in some body of water any chance he got.
Rick was preceded in death by his mom, Maurine Carr; brothers: Randell Carr and Craig Carr; sister, Cindy Carr; and his best friend who he considered a sister, Stacy Hansons Heatherington.
He is survived by his partner and best friend, Kim Howard of the home; his faithful dog, Bentley; Sidney Hanson, who he considered a daughter; cousins: Larry Schwarm, Dave Schwarm, and Rodney Schwarm; cousin, Krenseta Blanton; and many, many special friends and family.
