Ronald Dean Nottle, age 89, Branson, Missouri

Ronald Dean Nottle, 89 of Branson, Missouri, passed away on December 14, 2023.  He was born on July 23, 1934, in Milwaukee, WI, to Cecil and Alice Nottle.  Ron was a loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, Uncle, and friend.

Ron began his career as a printer, working for a newspaper in California.  In 1971, he moved his family to Hollister, Missouri, where he joined the print shop at School of the Ozarks.  During his time there, Ron mentored a student named Bob Wilson, who eventually took his place upon retirement.  Bob became a great friend of the family and remains so to this day.

Outside of work, Ron had a passion for sports.  He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed attending NASCAR races with his sons and grandson, Brayden.  Ron also loved watching the C of O Bobcats basketball games.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Orvilyn Nottle, his daughter Debra Lay (Larry), his sons Michael Nottle and Randy Nottle, his stepdaughters Linna Rathmann & Anissa McSpadden, his sister Sandra Humes, his brother Steven Nottle (Richard), eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  He was proceeded in death by his father Cecil Nottle, his mother Alice Nottle, his first wife Linda Nottle, his brother Richard (Dick) Nottle, his brother Cecil James (Jimmy) Nottle, and his brother Alan (Buddy) Nottle. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 27th, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Williams Chapel, College of the Ozarks.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to College of the Ozarks in Ron’s memory.

Ronald Dean Nottle will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his passion for his work, and his love for sports.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

Cremation arrangements were in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
