Rosanne was born in Portland, Oregon on April 11, 1943 to Donald and Helen (Cole) Montgomery. Her family moved to North Powder, Oregon and bought a grocery store where she was raised. Rosanne graduated from Powder Valley High School.  She worked as a janitor at the local school for a few years. She and husband, Glen Nantz started an auction service. She met Glen Nantz in North Powder and later married. They were married for forty-two years. They had two children Kurt and Candace.

Rosanne worked hard as a wife, mother and was the youth leader in her small church. She taught children's Sunday school, after school group and yearly Christmas play and party. Glen once said "If I find glitter in my eggs one more time I'm leaving." He must have got use to the taste of glitter because he never left. Rosanne loved to fish, paint and garden. She attended many churches throughout her life. She loved the Lord and was looking forward to being in heaven.
