Shirley Scrogham, age 83 of Diamond City, Arkansas.
Shirley Scrogham, age 83 of Diamond City, Arkansas went to be with Jesus on August 16, 2024. Shirley was married to her loving husband Wilfred (Will) Thompson up until he passed away in 1995.
Shirley lived her life devoted to her family and she was an incredible and loving wife, mother, grandma and Gigi. When she was asked her greatest accomplishments, she said it was her family.
She loved Jesus and was a member of the Diamond City Methodist Church. She loved cooking, baking and having her home filled with family. She loved Christmas and you could ask her any day of the year how many days until Christmas, and she could tell you. She cared about others deeply and loved to help others in need like filling Christmas stockings for the homeless and volunteering her time one-on-one reading with children at school. She always had great advice, she was incredibly witty and had a great sense of humor. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
Those left to honor her memory include her children Jeanine (Jeff) Luebbe, Lisa Phillips, Ellen Grams and Tom (Melisa) Thompson. Her grandchildren Donald Luebbe, Joseph (Cierra) Luebbe, Elijah (Kelli) Luebbe, Seth (Sydney) Luebbe, Rebekah (Zach) Tucker, Katie (Gavin) Ratliff, Bethany (Aaron) Oetting, Jessie Grams, Carrie Grams, Brandon (Jessica) Hill, Kayla (Jeff) Reed and her many cherished great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Vera and Robert Mundell, her husband Wilfred Thompson, her son David Harris and her son-in-law Stanley Phillips.
A Celebration of Life will be at Diamond City Methodist Church on Saturday September 7, 2024, at 10:00am with Pastor Steve officiating.
