Susan Rogers, age 71, Hollister, Missouri

Susan Rogers passed away from a sudden illness on September 17, 2023, in Hollister, Missouri. Born on October 7, 1951, in Bakersfield, California, Susan spent her life dedicated to her family, her work, and the pursuit of her passions.

Susan attended North High School in Oildale, California, where she fostered a love for learning and community service. This passion for helping others carried over into her adult life, where she dedicated much of her time to assisting those in need. Susan was known for her selfless acts, particularly her work serving and preparing meals for nursing home residents and driving the school bus for school children. Her kindness and compassion were evident in every interaction, and she touched countless lives through her work.

Susan was the beloved mother to her children, Donald Rogers (Terra), Clarajean Cox (Brandon Dunbar), Shannon (Robert) Estes, Daniel Rogers (Theresa), Richard Rogers and Tony Rogers (Danielle). She was also a cherished sister to Cheri (Freddie) Danker. Susan's joy was multiplied by the numerous grandchildren along with great-grandchildren who brought her immense pride and happiness.

Outside of her professional life, Susan was a woman of many interests. She was a keen card player, often spending hours playing games with her family and friends. Her love for games extended to her grandchildren, with whom she would play tirelessly. Susan was also an avid fan of Zelda, a passion she shared with her children and grandchildren. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her enjoyment of watching the livestock around the farm. Susan was also a proficient photographer, capturing beautiful moments and memories that her family will cherish forever.

In remembering Susan, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, kindness, and dedication to others. She leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 23, at 11:00 A.M.  in the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
