Susanne "Susy" Frangkiser, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and companion, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024, in Nixa, Missouri, at the age of 76. Born on March 29, 1948, in Charleston, West Virginia, to Wallace and Lleola (Turley) Cooley.

Susy's early years were spent in the scenic hills of West Virginia, where she began her early years of education. She later moved to Oklahoma with her Aunt Ginny, where she completed high school.  Shortly after, Susy moved to the Kansas City area for short time, then to Joplin, Shell Knob, and Branson where she raised her two sons.  After her two sons were raised Susy spent the last 14 years in Fordland, MO.

Family was central to Susy's life. She is survived by her loving sons, Sean and Leanna O'Day of Van Alstyne, Texas, and Chuck and Dawnell O'Day of Branson, Missouri. Susy’s family was enriched by her stepchildren when she married Roger Frangkiser, daughter, Cathy Ferguson.  After Roger’s passing Susy met her cherished companion, Vernon Buchanan, and his children, Eric, Clint, Denise, and Diana. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren, Maddie, Keighly, Sienna, Shaylee, Tristan, Hunter, Jacob, Valerie, Lorri, and Michelle who will forever hold on to the memories of their loving grammy.  Susy's brothers, Gene and Jack Cooley, and her sister, Sharlene Cooley, will remember her as a spirited and loving sibling.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger Frangkiser, her parents, Wallace and Lleola Cooley, step-son Mike Frangkiser, brother Larry Cooley, and sister Betty.

An adventurous and fun soul, Susy embraced life with open arms. She found solace and joy in her garden, where sunflowers stood tall, mirroring her sunny disposition and love for the outdoors. Her culinary skills were legendary among family and friends, as she blessed them with delicious meals, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Susy's zest for life extended beyond her home and garden. She was an avid runner when she was younger, often participating in marathons, and a skilled golfer, remembered for her impressive three hole-in-ones. These activities were more than hobbies; they were expressions of her adventurous spirit and her commitment to living life to the fullest.

Those who knew Susy will remember her for her adventurous nature, her unwavering love for her family, and her ability to make every moment count. Her impact on the lives she touched will continue to resonate, as her memory lives on in the hearts of those she loved.
