Thomas Eugene Zook, age 82.
Thomas Eugene Zook, age 82, passed away April 14, 2022, in Branson, Missouri. He entered this life on February 21, 1940, the son of Harold Zook and Rose (Mitchell) Zook in West Liberty, Ohio. He was joined in marriage to Nancy Umshler on March 30, 1985. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Zook; and grandson, Christopher Hajduk.
Thomas proudly served our country in the United States Army. While living in Cozad, Nebraska, Thomas was a charter member of Cozad Elks Lodge, member of the American Legion (40 & 8), member of the Cozad and Holdrege Country Club, and was a volunteer firefighter for five years. Thomas worked for the City of Cozad, City of Holdrege, and Missouri Power and Lights as an electrical lineman till his retirement in February of 2002. He enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, hunting, golfing, bowling, playing card games, spending time with the friends he made in Twin Island, and loving on his bulldogs. Thomas was known to be one of the nicest people and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a man of great faith and shined with God’s love. The memories and love that Thomas was able to share with those who knew him will be treasured eternally.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Nancy Zook; daughters: Rene and Deborah; stepsons: Scott, Tim, and Dan Umshler; grandchildren: Jericho, Jimmy, McKenzie, Maranda, Elizabeth, and Patrick; several great-grandchildren; sisters: Raye Ann and Jane; brother, Jerry; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.
