Vera “Rozelle” Wilson, age 92.
Vera “Rozelle” Wilson, age 92, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, in Cape Fair, Missouri. She was born in Gray, Oklahoma, to Raymond Franklin and Vera Hope (Swan) Vaughn.
Rozelle lived fifty-three years on a farm in Perryton, Texas. She moved to San Antonio, Texas, where she pursued her love of seashells and scuba diving. Rozelle and her son traveled extensively, adding to her collection. She was a member of the San Antonio Seashell Club. One of her most enjoyable experiences was swimming with the dolphins.
Rozelle was survived by her two daughters: Robbie Hogan of Fort Worth, Texas, and Shelley (David) Merkel of Cape Fair, Missouri; grandson, Tanner (Courtney) Westfall of Fort Worth, Texas; two granddaughters: Shawna Lacy of Reeds Spring, Missouri and Stephanie (Brent) Patrick of Cape Fair, Missouri; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Raymond and Vera Vaughn; son, David Charles Wilson; and brother, Raymond Edward Vaughn.
