Warren C. "Goober" Huebner of Lead Hill

Warren C. "Goober" Huebner of Lead Hill passed away Thursday July 4th with his family by his side. Warren was born September 18, 1951, in Randalia, IA to Harold and Irene Halterman Huebner.

Warren worked as a master plumber for 40 years until his retirement.  As a teenager he worked at Lead Hill Boat Dock where he discovered his love of fishing. In 1979, he won the Arkansas Governor's Cup Championship Bass Tournament.  He never lost his love for being out on Bull Shoals Lake.  As the grandkids came along his passion became watching them play sports.

Warren is survived by his wife of 53 years Betty Richey Huebner, two daughters Cari & Chris Wagner of Columbia, IL, Barbie & Ryan Plumlee of Harrison, one son Richie Huebner of Lead Hill.    Grandchildren Tori & Brandon Curry, Christopher Wagner & fiancé Meagan Reinhardt, Casey Wagner, Logan Plumlee, Laken Plumlee, Kelis, Kaya, Hicks Huebner, Bella Huebner & Cade Wilburn.  Also, one great grandson, Nash Curry.  Brother Robert & Sherri Huebner of Canon City, CO, sister Evelyn & Keith Widdle of Stevens Point, WI.  Sisters-in-law Marjorie Huebner of Mt. Home, Frances Hudspeth, Lead Hill and Judy Fortner of Rogers and Brother-in-law Jimmy and Cindy Richey of Woodward, OK, along with a host of nieces & nephews that will mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harold Huebner & Donald Huebner, sister Norma Firebaugh.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 8, at Milum Cemetery in Lead Hill.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of the Hills in Harrison or to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements by Diamond State Cremation & Mortuary Services in Lead Hill, AR.
