William “Ted” Theodore Garrick, age 83, of Omaha, AR
William “Ted” Theodore Garrick, age 83, of Omaha, Arkansas, gained his Heavenly reward August 5, 2021. He entered this life February 23, 1938, in Plymouth, New Hampshire, the son of William and Mildred (Dion) Garrick. They have preceded him in death. Ted was joined in marriage November 2, 2003, to Judy (Snowden) Cheek.
Ted proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. After his service to this nation, he worked for the Carnation Corporation as a manufacturing supervisor for many years. After retirement, Ted moved to the Ozarks and started a second career as a jailer for the Boone County Arkansas Sheriff’s Department. He enjoyed his work with a high attention to detail. In his spare time, Ted built and flew airplanes and restored classic cars. Most of all, he loved the time he spent with his family and attending Faith and Wisdom Church in Branson, Missouri. He will be remembered as a hardworking, loving man who served his country well.
Ted is survived by his loving wife Judy Garrick of Omaha, Arkansas; Judy’s children: Timothy Melton and Dorinda Arney; his grandchildren: Bryce Arney, Keagan Arney, and Kinzey Melton; his great-grandchildren: Zoey, Landon, and Lennux Arney; as well as his brothers and sisters.
A graveside committal service with full military honors will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri, with Pastor Mike Brown officiating.
