Xe Vue

Xe Vue, 81 years of age.

Xe Vue, 81 years of age, passed peacefully on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at her home in Stark City, Missouri. Xe was born November 13, 1942, in Phou Khe, Laos to her parents Txiab Leej Vwj , Ntxoov Yaj. She was the oldest daughter but 3rd in line of 9 children. Xe was proceed in death by her parents and three siblings. In 1982, Xe fled the communist country of Laos to come to United States of America to better her life with Thomas Vue, her son. Here in America, Xe went to school learned how to speak and write English. With her newfound skills, she was able find a job at The American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin where she worked for 10 years. She retired became a grandmother and homemaker whilst her son served the United States Army in the Desert Storm, Iraq Freedom and Desert Shields.

For those who had the privilege of knowing her said she was an affectionate, devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and grandchildren. Outside of watching her grandchildren grow she found joy with stitching paj ntaub and enjoyed sewing Hmong clothes for her family. She loved to garden with her sisters, cousins and she found joy when her harvests are shared among her family. Xe’s family will remember her by the love she had for her family and the joy of her infectious laugh.

Xe is survived by her loving son Thomas Vue and daughter in law Ia; four grandchildren Elizabeth, Brandon, Ekatrina and Jalissa; 2 great-grandchildren, her brothers Nao Chao Vue, Tong Vue, Soua Vue, her sister Ky Vue (Niam Xaiv Vaj Yaj), May Vue and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held from 8:00 AM until 11:00 PM Saturday, October 5, 2024 and from 7:00 AM Sunday, October 6, 2024 until 9:00 AM Monday, October 7, 2024 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Burial will be at 10:00 AM Monday, October 7, 2024 at Dice Cemetery in Fairview, Missouri.
